There are hundreds of thousands of craters on Mars, but only some of them have names. Here is a list of named Martian craters, with names starting with the letter A – L (see also M – Z) Martian craters are named after famous scientists and science fiction authors, or if less than 60 km in diameter, after towns on Earth. Latitude and longitude are given as planetographic coordinates with west longitude.
